i was telling a co-worker about this weekend’s camping trip and she said, “you like going camping? i thought you were a total girly girl.” no one has ever said this to me before.

i went camping this weekend in the cargo muchacho mountains, and the whole thing was quite countrified. we ate, drank, and shot stuff. pictures will follow soon. it was an excellent time, and it makes me appreciate being able to answer nature’s call without having to bury anything.

i was able to preserve the new car smell in my truck for a while, but now it smells pretty weird for some reason, possibly residual chinese takeout smell. i hate air fresheners, but i’m almost willing to try some of the mcphee ones: corn dog and barbecued steak!

i didn’t know when i moved to pasadena that a permit is required to park on the street overnight. since i moved during the holidays, they were in some kind of holiday non-ticketing grace period. then on 2/1 i got a ticket on my car, got totally irked about it, and got a [...]
