I already forgot how ridiculous the wind situation apparently gets here in the fall. Last year, there was so much of it that it regularly blew through my heater’s outside air intake, blowing the heater closet open (which, the first time around, got me out of bed wielding an oar), sending leaves, insulation, and [...]
If only I’d known about these train cams sooner. When I take the 58 between Mojave and Bakersfield, the windy driving conditions through Tehachapi keep me from train gawking as much as I’d like. It’s an especially lovely sight in the spring when everything is really green.
